Reed & Mackay’s parent company, Navan, has predicted ‘explosive growth in the bleisure (business and leisure) market over the next decade’. And it’s a trend Stratford believes will increasingly make sense to business travelers and their organizations.
“This particular hybrid of travel is driven by many factors; people’s own view on sustainability, the cost of travel and the convenience factor,” Stratford says. “People are becoming agnostic to the purpose of the travel and looking at it holistically from an individual perspective and that’s why I think we will see more of this trend going into 2024.
“And corporates are encouraging this way of travelling too," Stratford adds. "Traveler wellbeing is another important factor that plays into this trend, and it’s seen as an attractive recruitment and retention point for employees.”
