Working with a TMC with global reach has been relevant for some time now and that won’t change next year, Greenland predicts. “What really matters is that clients receive a consistent and equal experience across multiple markets,” he says. “With our deployment of a standard operating platform in all major markets this is where we can bring the advantage, a tangible one that the client feels.
“Global reach is crucial because when dealing with clients in more than one jurisdiction they want to simplify and streamline processes,” adds Stratford. “Being a TMC with operations in many markets enables us to work with the clients to achieve this in terms of data, reporting and optimisation of programmes. These last 12 months Reed & Mackay has welcomed two European travel management companies in the family, in Sweden and Spain, plus we’re still looking at a couple of markets we’ll be investing in down the line in 2024 and beyond.”
Offering clients the opportunity to consolidate their travel programme across multiple regions also provides greater buying power in supplier negotiations, better insights for informed decision making and technology that drive savings, adds Warren. “Consistent servicing provides clients with greater control on costs and duty of care, which makes using a global TMC a more attractive option,” she says.
